The Only Hero(ine) We Could Never Hate

It's only a few days back when I streamed Wonder Woman with my siblings. Awed by the movie (well tbh the only thing that is decent abt it is the action scene... and Gal Gadot. Period.), I then continued to watch the other series of DC Extended Universe: Batman vs Superman. It was a so-so act for some critics, but I, who have always been a sci-fi freak, decided to leave the shit out of all the negative comments and just enjoy how Zack Snyder made me realize that we all need someone to look up to. We all need the so-called hero to watch our back and look after us even when there's barely a thing to worry about. We all just want to feel safe, and we need someone to guarantee that, someone capable to depend on.

Metropolis citizen had it in an alien known as Superman.

As a hero, Superman had two choices only: either to be loved or despised--well actually three: feared. But let's just strike that off because yeah, people always fear of what they don't understand, don't we?

But even with loads of people misjudging him and throwing a lot of hatred on him, he keeps on saving their butts off and even sacrificing his own precious life to protect them.

And in Gotham City, they had it in some genius vigilante, Batman.

Remember The Dark Knight? When The Bat decided to take the blame without hesitate. The people of Gotham didn't deserve him; he never owe them a damn thing, but he ended up taking what's needed to protect them: bullets, wounds, and even the hatred.

In the alternate universe of Marvel's, The Avengers also had millions of people loathe them for doing what it takes to save them.
Even Autobots, the most unrealistic heroes ever introduced, got protested and even hunted and executed too.

I kinda feel sorry for every hero in all these imaginary world.
Apparently the humanity seemed to get less and less by time that even in goddamn movies, people were always caught doing terrible things.

If there's one thing that is obvious in all this heroism discourse, it is that all heroes will finally get hated by the people they stood up for.

Welp, maybe there's only one exception to this: mothers.

And I believe there's no need to explain why. :)
