It’s Time for Movies! #1

Aku suka film sci-fi!

I mean it, aku suka banget sama film sci-fi, apalagi yang tentang robot-robot dan gadget canggih gitu. Sebut aja Transformers, Iron Man, dan terakhiiir PACIFIC RIM-nya Guillermo Del Toro. Masya Allah itu keren baaaanget. <3 Well, ngaku aja, aku belom nonton tu pilem tapi baru liat gambar-gambar Jaegers- nya aja aku udah jatuh tjinta.

Gimana enggak, those mighty superhuge robots would obviously make the whole Autobots and Decepticon look like dwarfs. And anyway, considering the CGI effect in both films, they are so not to be compared. Transformers couldn’t match up to Pacific Rim. Take a look at their robots:

What some mighty giants, eh?

Dan nggak cuma Cherno Alpha (Russia), Coyote Tango (Japan), dan Gipsy Danger (USA) yang mereka punya. Menurut official website mereka, ada Brawler Yukon (USA), Horizon Brave (China), Romeo Blue (USA), Tacit Ronin (Japan), Diablo Intercept (Peru), Solar Prophet (Peru), Puma Real (Panama), Eden Assassin (Russia),  Shaolin Rogue (China), Matador Fury (Mexico), Vulcan Specter (Australia), Chrome Brutus (Canada), Nova Hyperion (Russia), Echo Saber (Japan), Mammoth Apostle (USA), sama Hydra Corinthian (Panama) juga! Yah, tapi di filmnya nggak diliatin sih.

In fact, beside the official Jaegers that filmmakers (in a virtual organization called Pan Pacific Defense) created, others may build their own Jaeger using the Jaeger Designer. It's the official app provided  by Warner Brothers Studio's official website for Pacific Rim. The website allows users to create their own specialized Jaeger with one to four design options that include, but are not limited to: Country, poster background, a personalized name (example: "Raptor Angel") and the physical condition of the Jaeger itself (weathered, battle-scarred, rusted).
Alongside the designer app, the website contains a virtual training session.

Here are the examples of some Jaeger they made:
Dublindecker (Ireland), Hoser Mountie (Canada), Buttplug McNasty (Micronesia), Vector Apex (New Zealand), Neutral (Sweden), Robotannia (United Kingdom),  bahkan ada Antareja, Garuda Force & Raptor Angel dari Indonesia. Yeah, Indonesia. Kreatif juga anak Indonesia :D

Tapi yang paling bikin aku jatuh cinta ya ini nih:

Striker Eureka | Australia

Look at the battle spec! Almost perfect, isnt it? Cherno Alpha aja nggak se keren ini. Padahal ‘dari Rusia’ *njuk ngopo* Dia speed-nya cuma 3, tapi emang sih, power sama armor  nya perfect. Tapi Kaiju kill count-nya cuma 6! Padahal lebih gede dan bentuknya lebih yahud *njuk ngopo*
Well, mau gimana-gimana, Striker pasti lebih unggul laah, dia kan Jaeger Mark-5, sedangkan Cherno 'cuma' Mark-1. It means that Cherno is so much older than Striker. Kalo menurut skenarionya sih, Cherno tu dibikin buat nge-defend Striker. Pantes Armor-nya lebih banyak dari Striker ;D

Anyway, nggak semua dari robot-robot yang kusebut di atas muncul di filmnya. Pada akhirnya cuma ada 4 Jaeger yang masih aktif karena yang lain (ceritanya) udah rusak berat (Coyote Tango ada tapi cuma diliatin sekilas):

Gimana? Keren kan? :") 

No offense, tapi Transformers cuma jadi kayak serial Power Rangers kalo dijejerin sama Pacific Rim. Itu sih kata Ndek, temen sekelas di kampus yang tadinya kakak kelasku. :p

Serius deh, kalo ada yang mau ngajak aku nonton film itu, kayaknya aku nggak akan bisa nolak.

YANG KEDUA, prioritas film ku adalah film action. Yeah, aksi.

Mulai dari Eagle Eye, Die Hard, Men In Black, Resident Evil, Bourne Legacy, Bourne Ultimatum, X Men, Souldiers of Fortune, Death Race, Fast n Furious Series, G I Joe, Mission Impossible, Skyfall, Salt, Hunger Games, The Expendables 2, juga Wanted. Yellyah, yang terakhir kusebut itu kuerennya LUAR BINASA BIASA! Pokoknya kalo kalian mengaku pencinta film action, tu film kudu n wajib plus musti ditonton.

Tapi nanti dulu mbahasnyaah. Udah malem nih. Mau nyiapin sahur. Next time yah! ;)
